Rock & Roll Forever
The Fifties

Early Rock N' Roll.
Post War prosperity was beginning. We Boomers were
optimistic and ready to start rocking & rolling.
And TV was bringing it all to our living rooms

Chuck Berry Doing The Duck Walk
'If you tried to give rock and roll
another name, you might call it
'Chuck Berry'. -John Lennon

Bill Haley, Rock&Roll Pioneer, 1956. This was before American Bandstand - 'Rock Around The Clock'

Jackie Wilson, performing 'Lonely Teardrops' on American Bandstand, 1958 - same year Michael Jackson was born. Check ot his awesome moves.

The Coasters, Loved these guys. They sang about the rebels, Charlie Brwn, Poison Ivy... Just what we future Woodstock Generation aspired to be. Smoking in the auditorium was totally radical in the 50's - would that life were so simple today.
